About Myself

Hi,

Welcome to my website. Thanks for spending some time to browse through my website. My name is VJ and I'm a freelance IT Consultant. I created this site for introducing myself and my services. I've been in IT field since 2000. Over the last 11 years I have developed and managed more than 50 projects: websites, webshops, joomla sites, CMS sites, portals, forums, web applications and a lot more web applications. I track the latest technologies, standards and programming methods, especially those that help with creative working. I have also worked in many government departments such as Department of Transport, Department of Planning and Coumminity Development, Department of Health and Department of Human Services.

I believe that websites are more than a simple program interface, these are marketing and communication channels too, so when I'm creating a website, I pay attention to good typography and usability.

As well as delivering web projects for my clients, I find time to improve my knowledge and complementary technologies (webmarketing, search engine optimization and some visual business intelligence).

My skills

• Marketing Strategies

  I have a very strong background in marketing. My marketing strategies have helped websites like Mactumbo, Mattasoft and other businesses to increase their web traffic. I have also developed a custom made SMS application for my clients to send out promotional sms to their customers. I specialise in  newsletter marketing as well.

• Social

  Social networking is a must today if you want to promote your business. I can create your business profile in social networking sites such as facebook, twitter or linkedIn.

• Project Management

  Managing large projects is what i enjoy the most. Using my experience, i have developed an online project management system which is helpfull for small business. I have also worked as Team Leader for the Intranet and Internet Project for the Department of Human Services and also for the Department of Health.

• Troubleshooting

  I have worked for Cenitex for nearly 5 years as a desktop technician and have good knowledge of supporting IT systems. I do not provide this service anymore as i am more involved with project management and web development projects.

• SEO

  I have extensive knowledge of search engine optimization. Creating effective websites using good SEO skills is a must to have your site to get a good ranking in Google. Here are some few tips that you can use to achieve a good ranking in search engines such as google or yahoo or any other ones.
